Crean rosettes on the cake

Penelope, a talented cake artist, is publicly dumped by her fiancé Adam. Overwhelmed by grief, she binges on sweets for a week, leading to severe health issues and hospitalization. Dr. Patel helps her realize her self-harm and that her worth isn't defined by others. Upon discharge, she finds Adam with Sophia, who opened a rival parfait shop mimicking her style. Instead of competing, Penelope opens an "ugly cake" shop in Chicago's South Side, specializing in flawed but delicious pastries. Her bakery soon attracts customers facing heartbreak or loneliness, who find solace in the imperfect cakes. When Adam seeks reconciliation, Penelope calmly declines. Meanwhile, Sophia closes her perfect shop to learn Penelope's craft. The former rivals become master, apprentice, and close friends, as Penelope embraces her new path of finding beauty in imperfection.
